Open-source music

I am in the process of rearranging and revising past compositions with open-source software.

Music - non stop

Surrounded in music since early childhood. One of the rare moments of joy was winding reels on an Unitra Aria reel-to-reel tape recorder (like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8rNbplhsQY), trying to find where on the whole length of those tapes were hidden some of the favourite gems.

Composing

The true changing moment was near the end of '80-ies, when I discovered the music of Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Mike Oldfield and i became a life-long fan. At roughly the same time, as part of my many programming experiments on the C= 64, I began to discover the capabilities of it's built-in SID music chip. This process should have been called programming music, and not composing, because of it's true nature - browsing lines and lines of machine-code, peeking and poking synth-chip register values.

The C= 64 and the Aria with it's overdubbing capability became my first composition and arrangement tools. Later I joined the IBM PC compatible world and started using Trackers (started with Fast Tracker II, but finally was mostly working in Impulse tracker - IT file extension). Some of my IT tracks are still listed in the archived copies of my first web-site and within the music collections of the SIC web-site

Releasing

The tracker scene in Skopje began to gain popularity in the late '90-ties, when many gatherings and parties were organized by some of the authors and their friends and fans at local clubs. Eventually this turned out to opportunities to release the music on official media. Being at the spot at that moment, I have been lucky to be given a chance to present some of my works at several public channels and events.

Released tracks
